Representative images of nuclear translocation of NFκB in uninfected U87 and ATF3 overexpressing U87 cells (a). Translocation was examined by immunocytochemistry for p65 (red) and DAPI (blue). Cells were treated with 5 μM JS-K for 48 h or TNFα for 6 h and compared to untreated controls. Scale bar indicates 200 μm. Phosphorylation of STAT3 was investigated by Western blot analysis for ATF3, shATF3 and controls (b). GAPDH was used as loading control. The figures shown are representative of three independent experiments.
