From: Development of thymic lymphomas in mice disrupted of Brca2 allele in the thymus

The thymuses of dead BRCA2F11/F11; Lck-Cre mice were swollen and formed cellular adducts. All of 10 dead BRCA2F11/F11; Lck-Cre mice developed thymic lymphomas. (A) Wild type thymuses are white and small. (B, C) Thymuses of dead BRCA2F11/F11; Lck-Cre mice are swollen and large that they could cover all the way to surround the heart. These thymuses formed tough cellular adducts. (D) Using PCR screening with primer 10F and 11R (Figure 1A), we confirmed that BRCA2 was disrupted along with the expression of Cre in thymic adducts of dead BRCA2F11/F11; Lck-Cre mice. Triangle indicates heart, white arrow indicates normal thymus, and gray arrow indicates thymic adduct.
