From: Suppression of Aurora-A oncogenic potential by c-Myc downregulation

c-Myc RNAi impaired colony formation rate caused by Aurora-A overexpression. (A) The colonies formed in soft agar. The 293-TR-Aur-myc cells were transfected with pSilencer-c-Myc or control plasmid for 48 h and then treated with or without Dox. Five hundred cells were replated into soft agar and incubated for two weeks. The colonies were visualized by staining with 0.2% piodonitrotetrazolium violet. (B) The colony formation rates were calculated by counting the average number of colonies in different treatment groups. All experiments were performed at least three times with consistent and reproducible results.
