From: Protective effect of 4,4'-diaminodiphenylsulfone against paraquat-induced mouse lung injury

Effect of DDS on PQ-induced pulmonary fibrosis. Histological evaluation of lungs from saline-injected (control) mice; mice treated with 2 mg/kg (human therapeutic dose) DDS alone; mice treated once with 10 mg/kg PQ; mice treated with PQ and 0.5 or 2 mg/kg DDS; and mice treated with NAC (3 × 100 mg/kg) following exposure to PQ. The lungs were removed, fixed in 4% formaldehyde, and embedded in paraffin. Tissue sections were cut and stained with hematoxylin and eosin. Histopathological images are presented as light micrographs (200 × magnification).
