From: Phospholipase D inhibitor enhances radiosensitivity of breast cancer cells
The effects of radiation and phospholipase D (PLD) inhibition on the activation of extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK), c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) and p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK). (a) MDA-MB-231 cells were treated with 10 μM PLD inhibitor and/or exposed to 5 Gy radiation. After 1 h, the lysates were analyzed by western blot using the indicated antibodies. These blots are representative of the results obtained from three experiments. (b) MDA-MB-231 cells were pretreated with 10 μM of SP600125 (SP) or SB203580 (SB), and treated with 10 μM PLD inhibitor and exposed to 5 Gy radiation. The cell viability was measured as described in the MATERIALS AND METHODS section.
