From: A putative pH-dependent nuclear localization signal in the juxtamembrane region of c-Met
Decrease of cytosolic pH enhances nuclear translocation of~60 kDa endogenous c-Met fragment. HeLa cells treated with 1 μM nigericin for indicated durations were subjected to subcellular fractionation followed by immunoblotting with an antibody against C terminus of c-Met (25H2). Protein densitometry graph depicts either 145 kDa Met (cytoplasm) or 60 kDa C-terminal fragment of c-Met level (nucleus) in fold change.
