miR-27 inhibits the mitochondrial fission factor (MFF) mRNA translation. (a) Polysome profiles. Cell lysates, prepared from CHANG liver cells transfected with pre-miR-27, anti-miR-27 or control miRNA, were fractionated through sucrose gradients. The arrow indicates the direction of sedimentation; − indicates fractions with no ribosomal components; 40S and 60S indicate small and large ribosomal subunits, respectively; 80S indicates monosomes; and LMWP and HMWP indicate low- and high-molecular-weight polysomes, respectively.
