The TLR4–NF-κB pathway accounted for the PYC-induced inhibitory effect on LPS-triggered foam cell formation. Cultured cells were treated with various doses of PYC and then stimulated with 10 μg ml−1 LPS for 24 h. After exposure to CuoxLDL, activation of the TLR4 and NF-κB pathway was analyzed by western blotting analysis (a).
