Dysregulated genome-wide expression profiles of cells exposed to cadmium (Cd). Unsupervised hierarchical clustering analysis of cDNA microarray data from Cd-treated cells. The color spectrum from green to red indicates low to high expression (a). Heat maps for the 50 genes with the greatest increase and decrease in expression in Cd-treated cells. The color spectrum from blue to red represents low to high expression (b). Gene ontology (GO) analyses for genes that are differentially regulated in cells treated with 10 and 30 μM Cd. Differentially expressed genes upon Cd exposure were filtered using the selection criteria of fold-change ⩾1.5 (c). Cd and Con indicate cells cultured with and without Cd, respectively.
