Abstract

This paper describes a mating scheme for estimating genetic parameters in an additive-dominance model for autotetraploids. The two parents used in the scheme are homozygous diploids which produce 2n unreduced gametes. The estimation procedure uses means of autotetraploids of the two parents, their F1 and eight backcross generations.
