A y-axis value of zero means that no genes are shared and a value of unity means that the sharing is perfect (for example, the same gene is responsible in the two taxa). Black triangles represent data from genetic crosses and gray circles represent data from candidate gene studies. A single point at 300 years (candidate gene study with 100% probability of gene reuse) is omitted to increase visibility in the rest of the data range.
