Distribution of pairwise recombination rates in base pairs per cM between pairs of markers. Physical distances were obtained from the S. purpurea v1.0 genome and genetic distances from the new linkage map of S. viminalis. The lowest recombination rate was found in the SD locus, that is, between markers XV-5_sa and R_33_sa_PIII with 15.93 × 106 base pairs per cM.
