  1. For each of the three experiments (Motueka 2010, Angers 2011, and Motueka 2014), seedlings were assigned to a class (‘Type 1’, ‘Type 2’ and ‘Type 3’). The chi-square (X2) test was performed for ‘Type 1’:‘Type 2’ + ‘Type 3’ = 1:3 or 3:13 and for ‘Type 2’:‘Type 3’ = 1:1 for all three experiments individually. The Pooled X2was also calculated. The degrees of freedom (df) and the ρ values are shown. At ρ <0.05, the observed segregation ratios are significantly different from the expected ratios.
