A carotid and femoral artery pulse waveform as recorded in a single subject (26 year old female) using the SphygmoCor (solid line) and Vicorder (dashed line) devices. Despite the different techniques used to detect the pulse and the small differences in the site of detection, the recorded waveforms show good agreement on visual inspection, with some degree of variation in the diastolic portion of the carotid pulse.
