Subjects in the highest tertile of %GGS had a worse risk profile for LVH than did subjects in the lowest tertile, even in the age- and sex-adjusted (Model 2) and multivariate-adjusted models (Model 3). Model 1, unadjusted analysis; Model 2, adjusted for age and sex; Model 3, adjusted for age, sex, systolic blood pressure, history of diabetes mellitus, total serum cholesterol and GFR determined by a radioisotopic technique. The values are ORs and their 95% CI’s versus the lowest tertile.
