Loading direction and mode. (a) A force of 170 N was applied onto the top surface of the abutment obliquely at 45° to the longitudinal axis of the implant. Due to the structural symmetry, the load applied on the model was F/2. (b) The loading period was 0.8 s, and its amplitude followed semi-sinusoidal pattern. The force values varied from 0 to F/2 with time, however the loaded angle was constant.
