Arecoline reduces the cell viability of HGFs. The cells were treated with different concentrations of arecoline (0, 10, 100, 200, 500, and 1 000 μmol·L⁻¹). The cell viability was monitored by MTT assay, and the optical densities (OD) at 570 nm were measured (n=6).
