Increases in glomerular Hic-5 expression in diabetic nephropathy are reduced by TG-2 inhibition. STZ-induced diabetes was induced as in Figure 1. Immunostaining was undertaken for Hic-5. (a) Photomicrographs show typical sections for control, diabetic, and NTU281-treated diabetic kidneys at day 240. (b) Quantification of glomerular Hic-5 staining.
