Vasculogenic mimicry in Merkel cell carcinoma xenografts. WaGa- and MKL-1-derived xenograft tumors contained CD31− anastomosing networks that were enhanced with PAS staining, and were associated with staining for Lam, CD144, Nodal, and VEGFR-1.
