From: Syndecan-1 promotes the angiogenic phenotype of multiple myeloma endothelial cells
Cell-cycle and apoptosis-related genes are modulated in syndecan-1-knockdown cells. Expression profile of genes involved in proliferation (a) and apoptosis (b) of MMEC syndecan-1 siRNA as compared with MMECs and BMECs by qRT-PCR. The normalized expression of the genes with respect to gylceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) was computed for all samples. Values are expressed as fold change with respect to MMECs and are the mean±s.d. of three independent experiments performed in triplicate. Student's t-test was performed (*P<0.05 MMECs syndecan-1 siRNA versus MMECs; †P<0.05 BMECs versus MMECs).
