SIINFEKL feeding induces tolerance comparable to feeding with whole OVA. C57BL/6 mice were fed PBS (n=31), SIINFEKL (n=33), or wOVA (n=31) followed by immunization with wOVA in CFA. dLN cells were isolated and restimulated with 0, 10, or 100 μg ml−1 wOVA for 48 or 72 h. IFNγ, IL-2, and IL-17a protein levels in culture supernatants were determined by ELISA at the indicated time points; data are reported in pg ml−1±s.e. *P<0.05; **P<0.01; †P<0.001.
