Oral/lingual CD11b+ macrophage-like cells induce Foxp3 expression. Foxp3 expression was assessed in CD4+ T cells cocultured with CD11b+CD11cMHCII+ macrophages purified from oral/lingual or intestinal tissues in the presence or absence of the OVA323–339 peptide with or without transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β). Data are cumulated from three independent experiments.
