Thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP) expression is induced by commensal bacteria in the colon. (a) Real-time reverse transcriptase–PCR (RT-PCR) analysis of TSLP mRNA expression in freshly isolated tissues from germ-free or specific pathogen-free (SPF) mice. (b) Real-time RT-PCR analysis of TSLP mRNA expression in the epithelial cell (EC) or colonic lamina propria (cLP) fractions from altered Schaedler flora (ASF) and SPF. (c) Real-time RT-PCR analysis of TSLP mRNA expression in bone marrow–derived dendritic cells from C57BL/6 or TSLPR−/− mice.
