From: Intestinal bacteria induce TSLP to promote mutualistic T-cell responses

Interleukin-17A (IL-17A) production is upregulated in thymic stromal lymphopoietin receptor (TSLPR)-deficient germ-free mice following recolonization with altered Schaedler flora (ASF) bacteria. Representative plots and quantification of IL-17A and interferon-γ (IFNγ) production by CD4+ cells isolated from (a, c) colonic lamina propria (cLP) and (b, f) mesenteric lymph nodes (MLN) of germ-free and day 28 ASF-colonized mice following phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate /Ionomycin restimulation. Results are pooled from three independent experiments for the cLP (n=3–4, per group per experiment) and are representative of two independent experiments for the MLN (n=3–4 per group). *P<0.05.
