H1 histamine (His) antagonist, D-series resolvins RvD1, and aspirin-triggered RvD1 (AT-RvD1) each block histamine-stimulated increase in [Ca2+]i to the same extent in rat goblet cells. (a) Mean intracellular [Ca2+]i over time and (b) percentage of inhibition of peak [Ca2+]i in response to histamine alone (10−5M) or following a 30-min exposure with the H1 antagonist chlorpheniramine (CPA, 10−4M), RvD1 (10−8M), or AT-RvD1 (10−8M) from four experiments *P<0.05 (histamine vs. inhibitor plus histamine).
