NFkB does not interfere with the inflammasome status in LF82-treated mucosa explant cultures. Human normal colonic mucosa explant cultures were treated or not for 4 h with LF82 (109 bacteria per explant) with or without pretreatment with SN50. TNFα and IL-18 secretion were assayed in the supernatants by ELISA. Mean±s.e.m. of five independent experiments with at least four explant cultures per condition.
