From: A key requirement for CD300f in innate immune responses of eosinophils in colitis

Eosinophil-expressed CD300f regulates the severity of colitis. Mixed BM chimeric mice that harbor a specific deletion of Cd300f only in their eosinophil cell component were generated by adoptive transfer of mixed BM cells from WT, Cd300f−/− and ΔdblGATA mice (i.e., ΔdblGATA/WT and ΔdblGATA/Cd300f−/−). 0 weeks, the mice were treated with 2.5% DSS in their drinking water for the indicated time points and analyzed for clinical disease activity index (a), weight loss (b), assessment of colon length (c), and infiltration of CD45+ cells into the colon (d). Representative photomicrographs (e) of H&E-stained sections are shown. Data are a representative experiment of n=10; ***P<0.001, **P<0.01, *P<0.05. BM, bone marrow; DSS, dextran sodium sulfate; H&E, hematoxylin and eosin; WT, wild type.
