Memory CD4 T cells provide protection from secondary oral InlAM rLm infection. Naive or immunized mice were challenged with oral InlAM rLm infection. Some immunized mice were also treated with anti-CD4 (clone GK1.5) to deplete CD4 T cells. The small intestines and MLN were collected 4 days after challenge infection and Lm burden was quantified on agar plates supplemented with streptomycin. Pooled data from two individual experiments with five mice per experiment are shown.
