Epithelial cell—immune cell co-culture after 24 h of incubation with either Campylobacter jejuni or M1-macrophages or both. Transepithelial electrical resistance of HT-29/B6 cell monolayers, apically infected with C. jejuni (MOI 100) drops earlier by activation of macrophages.
