(a) Chromophobe RCC stained for FXYD2 shows a diffuse, strong staining pattern. (b) FXYD2 may result in a strong, patchy staining pattern as seen in this case of chromophobe RCC. (c) This example of chromophobe RCC shows diffuse but weak immunostaining for FXYD2. (d) Occasional negative FXYD2 staining may also be seen in chromophobe RCC. (e) Rare oncocytomas showed weak, patchy immunostaining for FXYD2. (f) Oncocytoma stained for FXYD2 shows no appreciable immunostaining. This was most commonly seen.
