Examples of the pleomorphic giant cell subtype of undifferentiated rhabdoid pancreatic carcinoma. (a) Highly pleomorphic tumor cells with variable nuclear sizes and frequent bi- and multinucleation. Note prominent cytoplasmic eosinophilia with rhabdoid inclusions. (b) Extreme example of cell size variation and eosinophilic cytoplasm. (c) Non-cohesive pseudoalveolar pattern. (d) Sarcomatoid spindle cells. (e) Cell size variation highlighted by pancytokeratin (note perineural carcinomatous glands lower left). (f) Intact nuclear SMARCB1 expression was seen in all cases of this subtype.
