(a) The percentage of immunohistochemistry-positive tumor cells in the lymph node (mean 75%) was significantly higher than that in primary gastric cancer tissues (mean 47%; P<0.001). (b) FGFR2b H-scores in metastatic lymph node (mean 170) were higher than those in matched primary gastric tissue (mean 103; P<0.001). Although only lymphatic emboli, a minor population of tumors, showed FGFR2b overexpression in the gastric tissue (inlet indicates higher magnification; c), the majority of metastatic lymph node tumors showed FGFR2b overexpression (d).
