Mesoderm and endoderm patterning relies on Fog and possibly other ligands signalling via multiple, localised (e.g. Mist) or ubiquitous (e.g. Smog) GPCRs, which relay information to G proteins α,β andγ. T48 and Tolls are single pass transmembrane proteins.
