(a) Meta-C–H acetoxylation. Reaction conditions: 1 (0.1 mmol), Pd(OAc)2 (10 mol%), Ac-Gly-OH (20 mol%), Ac2O (5.0 equiv), PhI(OAc)2 (3.0 equiv), HFIP (1 ml), N2, 90 °C, 24 h.
