  1. Voltages (in volts) applied to the trap electrodes for displacing the trap potential by ≈1.5 μm, corresponding to the largest displacements in these experiments. The voltages are generated by commercial digital-to-analogue converter chips with specified stability and resolution of ≈1.2 mV (AD5371 from Analogue Devices).
