Fidelity fN,n=|〈φ|yn〉|2, for a fixed value n=5, as a function of the number of spins N for the ground state (the target state |φ〉) of the random nearest-neighbour Hamiltonians of equation (8). As in Figure 2, we chose k=2 to reconstruct the state. The plot shows densities (arrows indicate the mean) obtained from 1,000 random realizations. Similar to the Ising model, the scaling for fixed n of 1−fN,n is better than ∼N2.
