(a) Cells expressing C2-GFP at low level show enrichment of C2 domain at pseudopods along with EhCaBP1 (shown by arrow). (b) C2-GFP colocalizes with EhCaBP1 in cells undergoing erythrophagocytosis as shown by arrow. (c) C2-GFP shows enrichment at the site of initiation of phagocytosis, which is marked by accumulation of actin. The C2-GFP is probed by anti-GFP antibody and Alexa488-labelled secondary antibody. The actin is stained by TRITC-Phalloidin and EhCaBP1 by Alexa546. All cells were maintained at 10 μg ml−1 G418 during the experiment (scale bar, 10 μm; DIC, differential interference contrast).
