BM-ϕ from TLR2−/− mice do not secrete MIP-2, mTNFα or mIL-6 in response to USA300 or the synthetic lipopeptide Pam2CSK4 but respond to LPS stimulation (a–c). Expression of both, PSMα and lipopeptides, is necessary to induce MIP-2, mTNFα and mIL-6 in BM- ϕ derived from wild-type mice (d–l).
