(a–c) Simulations performed at T=0.5˙TN reveal that magnetic edge dislocations (green arrow) can climb through the helimagnetic structure. The movement locally relaxes the spin structure and induces a phase jump of 180° as seen, for example, at the position marked by the red dot. (d–f) Pair annihilation occurs when positive and negative edge dislocations meet. (g–i) In addition to the climbing in a magnetic edge dislocations can perform slip motions (T=0.5˙TN).
