  2. *General bioconjugation conditions: protein (10 μM) in TrisHCl (pH 8.0, 20 mM), carbonylacrylic derivative 2a–d (1–50 equiv.) dissolved in dimethylformamide (1–10%) were reacted in an Eppendorf tube for the indicated time.
