Upon stimulation, the pre-existing filaments were reorganized to form the actin frameworks around exocytic granules, limiting the granules’ movement and promoting them close to the plasma membrane. Subsequently, actin monomers are recruited from the cytosol and form coat structures around granules within the actin frameworks upon fusion. Cells may use such a synergetic strategy to promote exocytosis effectively and precisely.
