Complex 2 is prepared by a salt elimination reaction of 1. Complex 3 is prepared either by deprotonation of 2 or by direct protonation of 4, both in the presence of crown ether. Complexes 5 and 6 are prepared by protonation of 4 with the reaction outcome being principally determined by the stoichiometric ratio of 4 to KAsH2.
