HCV epitope-specific CD8+ T cells were analysed for expression levels (MFI=median fluorescence intensity) of the inhibitory receptors PD1, 2B4, TIGIT (a) and the relative expression of CD39 (b), Eomes (c), Perforin (d), TCF1 (e), BCL2 (f) and active caspase-8 (g) with respect to the CD127/PD1 subsets (n=7–19). Representative flow cytometric histogram plots including gating of the individual markers are depicted (red: HCV epitope-specific CD8+ T cells; grey: corresponding bulk CD8+ T cells). Bar charts show the median value with interquartile range. Statistical significance was assessed by Kruskal-Wallis with Dunn’s multiple comparison test.
