The retrieved illumination function is shown in the plane perpendicular to the X-ray beam propagation. On the right, the colour code used for the colour rendition of the complex-valued function is indicated: the length of the arrow and the angle correspond to the amplitude (linear scale) and phase values, respectively (Scale bar: 200 nm). The amplitude fluctuations are classical artefacts arising from intensity normalization and translational periodicity of tx 14.
