Experimental result in a, is for 8 ions, (b), 14 ions, (c), 25 ions and d, with 33 ions where the axial trapping frequency takes the values ωz=2π × (195.8, 155.2, 93.8 and 117.1 kHz), respectively. Error bars represent the Bayesian 90% credible interval for the visibility. While the traces are very similar, increasing the number of ions tends to produce sharper features.
