The N-domain is coloured blue, the C-domain is green and the C-terminus is grey. (b) For each panel, 1 μM fluorescently labelled arrestin was mixed with a fourfold excess of dark-state RhoP. Emission spectra were recorded before (red traces) and after (blue traces) a 10-s illumination (>495 nm). Spectra were background-subtracted and normalised.
