(a) Thermal transitions of resilin samples were analysed by TM-DSC for full-length resilin (1, black line), exon I (2, blue line) and exon III (3, red line), during heating at 2 K min−1. A two-step transition was indicated by TMDSC studies with step 1 in the temperature region of 30–150 °C and step 2 in 150–240 °C. The scale bar is 1 J g−1 K−1.
