(ag) Box plot representation of methylation detection obtained from seven colon-related genes in 50 normal, 30 colon carcinoma and 30 adenoma cases by using CCP-based FRET technique. Left scatter plots indicate the methylation levels of tested cases. Right plots depict the six-number summaries, namely the minimum and maximum values, the upper (Q3) and lower (Q1) quartiles, median and average values. The median is identified by a line inside the box. The length of the box represents the interquartile range (IQR). Values more than 1.5 IQRs from either end of the box are denoted by an asterisk (*). The square (□) signifies the average. The P-value is calculated by Mann–Whitney’s test.
