Graphs show mean values and error bars represent s.d. of a representative experiment performed in triplicate. P-values were calculated by odds ratio. (b) siRNA-targeting Smo was transfected into HeLa cells stably expressing mRFP-GFP-LC3. Representative confocal microscopy images are shown. Bars represent 26 μm. The number of vesicles was analyzed in a Cellomics array scan and percentage was calculated relative to control siRNA-transfected cells. Statistical tests were performed on data from three independent experiments in triplicate. *P<0.05; ***P<0.001.
