Hematoxylin and eosin-stained sections of teratomas formed 4 weeks after subcutaneously injecting nude mice with mouse iPSCs generated using the different POU factors. Teratomas contain all three embryonic germ layers: endoderm (respiratory epithelium (e)), mesoderm (cartilage (c), skeletal muscle (m), adipose tissue (f)) and ectoderm (neural epithelium with rosettes (n), pigmented melanocytes (p)).
